A NEW series of road closures has been announced in connection with bridge reconstruction work to be carried out A57 Liverpool Road at Bank Quay Warrington.
The borough council plans to make an order to temporarily prohibit driving on the A57 Priestley Street (north east bound traffic) from its junction with Sankey Way to its junction with Edelsten Street.
The order will be effective from Saturday, June 26 from 7pm until 11am the following morning and from 7pm to 6am daily from Monday, June 28 through to Thursday, July 1.
It will also be effective from 7pm on Saturday, August 7 until 11am the following day and between 7pm and 6am daily from August 9 through to August 12.
Signs will be displayed to show when the closures are in place and an alternative route will be via the Sankey Way, Liverpool Road and Crosfield Street.
The closure is required to allow Network Rail to carry out accommodation works in association with the railway bridge reconstruction scheme on Liverpool Road.
