A special soccer skills camp held at Warrington Town FC proved to be a huge success and now plans are in the pipeline for more events.
Organised in conjunction with Active Soccer, the soccer skills camps are backed by soccer star Robbie Savage and England women’s international Sue Smith.
Welsh international Savage, (pictured right) who currently skippers Derby County and Sue are both ambassadors for the soccer franchise, which will now be running more fun
football camps during the school summer holidays.
He is also looking at launching special Saturday morning soccer camps through out the year.
Coach Simon Dow, who is running Warrington Active soccer said:”We had a fantastic response to our first soccer skills camps at Warrington Town and unfortunately it
proved so popular we had to turn some youngsters away.
“But we will be back with more camps in the summer holidays and hopefully at weekends.
“I would personally like to thank Head grounds man John Barton for all his help.”
After the camps John presented the youngsters with special warrington Town FC Diamond Jubilee banners as a memento of the occasion.
