Woman critical after motor bike crash

A 22-year-old woman is critically ill in hospital today after being involved in a collision with a motor cycle in Brick Street, Warrington.
An 18-year-old woman is also in hospital with serious, but no life threatening injuries.
The collision occurred on Wednesday, just before 5pm.
A 23-year-old local man, who was riding a green Kawasaki 600cc motor cycle was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and other driving offences. He was not hurt.
It is understood the two women, both from the Lymm area, were crossing the road when the incident took place.
The two women were taken to Warrington Hospital by ambulance. The 22-year-old, who suffered head and chest injuries, was later transferred to Walton Hospital, Liverpool, where her condition is said to be critical.
The younger woman remains in Warrington Hospital with head and spinal injuries.
Police are appealing for witnesses to contact Warrington Traffic Unit on 0845 458 0000.
