Guide and Brownie fundraisers

GUIDES and Brownies in Culcheth are still raising funds to send two local guides will be making international trips next year.
Zoe Isles is travelling to Siberia to help develop brownie and guide units and to teach English and Kate Davidson is taking part in the World Scout Jamboree in Sweden.
Members of the 7th Culcheth Guide unit have been fundraising during the past few months to fund the trips and have raised £2,000 towards the target of £4,000.
Money has been raised by donations from the Culcheth Educational Trust, Culcheth Lions and the Girlguiding Centenary Fund. The group has also held a tabletop sale, carried out bag packing at Sainsbury’s in Culcheth and various stalls at Culcheth Community Day.
Future events planned include a Swingroc Night at the Village Club, Culcheth, on June 25.
