Water main work will close road

WARRINGTON Borough Council plans to make an order for the temporary closure of part of Chapel Road, Penketh while work is carried out on the installation of new water mains.
The closure will be from May 31 and is expected to last for two weeks, as and when warning signs are displayed.
It will effect the road and footpath from the junction with St Austell Close to the junction with Ditchfield Road.
Alternative routes via Chapel Road via A562 Warrington Road, A562 Widnes Road, Tannery Lane, Station Road and vice versa will be signposted.
United Utilities are to install a new 450mm diameter pipeline to improve the local network as part of the Penketh Catchment Solution scheme.
