Rhythm and blues festival

THE second annual Warrington rhythm and blues festival will take place on Saturday, May 29.
There will be two stages, two bars serving real ales and an impressive line-up of acts at The Pyramid Arts Centre.
Among featured acts on the main stage are The Nimmo Brothers, festival headliners for 10 years, The Tommy Allen Band, with Johnny Hewitt on harmonica, the nine-piece Big Blues Tribe, fronted by Oliver Carpenter and the four-piece blues rock band, Escape Committee.
There will also be an acoustic stage with a number of hand-picked acts, plus Tommy Allen and Johnny Hewitt who will switch from the main stage to showcase their acoustic act.
