WARRINGTON Town will be hoping to get back to winning ways when they
entertain Bamber Bridge at Cantilever Park, today, kick off 3pm when there could be a shock return for club skipper Mike Tomlinson.
Two disappointing defeats on the road in Yorkshire, 2-1 at lowly Harrogate last Monday and 5-3 at fellow strugglers Garforth on the back of a 2-3 victory at high flying Colwyn Bay, typifies Warrington’s inconsistent season, which has seen the team flirt with the play-offs.
There could be a return for club captain Mike Tomlinson who has been sorely missed in the central defence. Tomlinson has been training following his knee injury and manager Joey Dunne will make a late decision on his fitness.
Fellow central defender Tom Hardwick is expected to be in the starting line-up following his return from injury at Garforth.
Winger Jimmy MaCarthy is also back in the frame after being on the bench at Garforth and missing the trip to Harrogate due to work commitments.
But striker Tony Evans faces a late fitness check on a stiff back.
