Comedy show sold out in three minutes

TICKETS for three special shows by comedian Peter Kay in Warrington sold out in just three minutes of going on sale.
Comedian Peter Kay, who has the record for the largest stand-up tour in history, chose the intimate surroundings of the Pyramid Arts Centre this week for the shows to help raise money for the Haiti Relief Fund.
Kay, best known for “Phoenix Nights”, sell out arena tours and large-scale gigs, gave fans the chance to see him in the 200-seat venue when he announced the dates on his Facebook pages.
Tickets for the three dates, the third of which is tonight (Friday), sold out in record time.
The Bolton funnyman’s Tour That Doesn’t Tour tour smashed box office records at the MEN Arena in Manchester, and became the largest stand-up tour in history.
