YOUNG politicians in Warrington will host the first regional meeting of the Youth Parliament to be held this year.
‘Youthforia North West’, the new name for the North West Regional Young People’s Forum, will take place at Orford Youth Centre on March 21 between 10.30am and 4pm.
Youthforia is a collective name for a variety of projects including the young people’s leadership project and the young ministers of health as well as the UKYP regional meeting.
Dan Moxon, regional co-ordinator for the north-west said: “The youth support services in the borough allow young people’s voices and opinions to be heard, and this is an example of that in action.”
The newly elected Youth Parliament members from Warrington North and South will help choose the three regional campaigns for the coming year.
Councillor Sheila Woodyatt, MBE lead member for children and young people’s services said: “Youthforia is a great opportunity for young people to get involved with the democratic process and really make their voices heard.”
