GRAPPENHALL Cricket Club – aiming for promotion to the ECB Premier League from division one of the Cheshire County League – are on the look out for new players to strengthen their squad.
The Broad Lane club narrowly missed out on promotion last year and hope to improve their performance this summer.
The 1st XI skipper will again be former Lancashire batsman Steve Titchard, who, with his enthusiasm and professionalism, has a positive impact right through the club.
Members feel 2010 could be a successful year, with all three senior teams hoping for success in their respective league and cup competitions. With the foundation of youth firmly in place, with several young players contributing to the success of the senior teams, promotions are a distinct possibility for all three senior teams.
The club’s over 40’s team will also be competing, so there is plenty of cricket to be played, and any prospective new players will be welcomed.
Senior winter nets begin on Monday, February 8 and will run every Monday until the season starts other than Bank Holiday Monday).
The sessions begin at 8pm till 9.30pm, and are held at Bridgewater High School Lower Site, Hall Drive, Appleton. Any players wanting to play senior cricket should attend.
