Student twins visit town

0

FIVE students from the Berufskolleg Hilden, a vocational school in one of the towns twinned with Warrington have recently finished a two month placement in the borough.
During their time in Warrington, the students worked at three locally based organisations – Golden Gates Housing, the North West Development Agency and Warrington Collegiate.
They helped with the reorganisation of server rooms, worked on website development and undertook programming, maintenance and support duties over the eight weeks, gaining a great insight into the work of all things IT in Warrington.
All three companies reported that they were more than satisfied with the students’ experience and know-how in information technology, their flexibility and adaptability at work.
This was the first time such an international exchange has taken place and it is hoped it will become a regular project.
Business people who would like to find out more or get their company involved in the 2010 exchange should email Sigi at Berufskolleg Hilden on [email protected]
