Girl robber strikes in town centre

DETECTIVES in Warrington today appealed for information following a town centre robbery.
In the early hours of Saturday, December 5, an eighteen year old local girl was assaulted and her mobile ‘phone stolen on Bridge Street, near to McCauley’s bar.
The suspect is described as a female aged 18-20, between 5ft 6 inches and 5ft 9 inches tall, of slim build with blonde hair cut in a bob style with a distinctive pink streak in her fringe. She was wearing a purple dress.
The stolen ‘phone was a black Samsung “Tocco Lite”.
Although not seriously injured, the victim was left shaken with facial injuries. Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to contact DC Mike Evans at Warrington CID on 0845 458 0000 or alternatively contact the confidential Crimestoppers hotline on 0800 555 111.
