CUSTOMERS were evacuated from the Cat and Lion pub in Stretton, Warrington, on Saturday night after an outbuilding caught fire.
Fire crews suspect that a discarded cigarette started the blaze in the storage unit, which held cylinders used to pump beer.
It took about 45 minutes to put out the fire and check that the cylinders were safe before customers could return inside. No one was injured and there was no damage to the main pub building.
