SHOPPERS in search of some local festive fayre can visit the first ever ‘Made in Cheshire’ Christmas Market in Warrington.
Golden Square’s Old Marketplace will be brought to life with producers offering a mouthwatering choice of Cheshire’s finest foods and crafts in preparation for the festive season.
‘Perfect pate, fabulous fudge, superb sauces, luscious liqueurs, stunning sausages, magical mulled wine, pristine puddings, dips, drizzles and dressings’ –all Cheshire made – are promised at the market, which will be held over two, three-day sessions: Friday to Sunday 27-29 November, and from Friday to Sunday, 11-13 December.
The market will also feature a number of craft stalls selling greetings cards, hand-crafted Christmas wreaths, and other seasonal goods. Carols and seasonal music will add to the festive cheer.
Ian Cox, Golden Square Shopping Centre marketing manager, said: “These events will prove a welcome new attraction for visitors from in and around Warrington.
“The market will underline the choice and quality of food and ingredients that are produced right here in our own county, and provide an opportunity to stock up on some great produce in time for Christmas.”
