Hospital lottery
ONE lucky winner picked up the jackpot prize of £1,637 in the weekly lottery run by the League of Friends of Warrington Hospital. Winning numbers were 2, 3, 7 and 10. A £25 consolation prize was awarded to a member of hospital staff.

Toilet refurb
CROFT Parish Council has agreed to refurbish and repaint the Ladies toilet in Smithy Lane.

Tree planting
RECYCLING company Alupro is to plant 172 trees in Malawi as a result of Warrington people recycling 172
tonnes of aluminium in the last 12 months.

Youth grant
CROFT Parish Council has approved a £2,000 grant towards the running costs of the Croft Youth Group which meets at Christ Church Parish Hall.

Charity walk
THE fifth annual sponsored walk for Breakthrough Breast Cancer at Grappenhall will take place on October 25, starting and finishing at Grappenhall Community Centre in Bellhouse Lane. Details on 01925 262851.

Gardening bankers
STAFF from the Royal Bank of Scotland helped tidy up gardens in Honiton Square, Penketh, Warrington as a
contribution to the local community.
