Wolves to run in half marathon

FOUR Warrington Wolves stars have decided to lace up their trainers and achieve another personal goal by taking part in Sunday’s first-ever New Balance English Half Marathon.
Skipper Adrian Morley, Chris Riley, Paul Wood and Lee Mitchell will all head down to Victoria Park for the race.
All four players volunteered to run on behalf of the Wolves Foundation in order to show their support for the charity and to raise awareness of the excellent work The Foundation does in the local community.
Adrian will also be running on behalf of the Manchester Children’s Hospital.
Past players Mike Wainwright, Gary Hulse and Gary Chambers will also be taking part.
The race starts in Victoria Park at 9am and will follow a course through south Warrington before reaching the finish line back in Victoria Park.
Dubbed “The People’s Challenge”, the half marathon is the centrepiece of a weekend of running which will feature runners of all abilities, including elite international athletes, fun runners and even mascots. All races are being run in aid of charitable causes across the town, including “The Foundation for Peace”, “St Rocco’s Hospice” and “Newlove Warrington”.
