Regional award for corner shop

A CORNER shop has won the title “Regional Community Shop of the Year” in a competition run by a national dairy company.
Burnett’s Premier Store in Higher Lane, Lymm won the award as a result of customers signing a petition in the shop, followed up by a visit from a “mystery shopper” who took account of various features of the shop, including stock, displays and helpfulness of the staff.
Owner Jim Burnett was treated to a tour of the Robert Wiseman dairy at Trafford Park, followed by lunch with other regional winners and dairy chiefs.
The shop now goes into a national competition to be held next month.
Mr Burnett is pictured with the framed certificate he received to mark the achievement.
