WARRINGTON’S popular Fair 4 All’s Autumn Fair Trade Fashion Shows are set to take place.
The first will take place Tuesday September 29, doors open at 7.15pm at Hill Cliffe Baptist Church, Red Lane, Appleton WA4 5AL followed by one on Wednesday October 7, doors open at 7.30pm. at St Monica’s RC Primary School, Dingleway, Appleton WA4 3AG.
Audiences will view clothing for men, women and children from a number of fair trade suppliers including “One World is Enough” and “Nomads.” There will be opportunity to try on garments at the end of each show. Tickets are £5.00 and include light refreshments served at the beginning of the evening, when accessories and other fairly traded items will be on sale before the show starts.
Jackie Hancock from “Fair 4 All”, the fair trade shop on Warrington Market, said: “We‘ve held fashion shows in the spring for a number of years now and they have always proved very popular. Now we’re pleased to be showing a selection of wonderful fairly traded clothing for the winter months. There are so many exciting designs available. With fair trade clothing, workers rights are respected and often additional help is given in the form of training, advice with designs for Western tastes and even advance payments to enable producers to buy the raw materials they need.”
