A WARRINGTON based children’s centre is set to celebrate National Sure Start Children’s Centre this Friday with the support of local MP Helen Jones.
The Sunshine Children’s Centre, based at Beamont School in Orford, is hosting a celebration event aimed at families with children under school age this Friday September 18 from 10am until 2pm.
This event marks the first National Sure Start Children’s Centre Week which aims to celebrate the success of children’s centres across the country and let local people know more about Children’s Centre services in their local community.
Staff from the centre, health and library workers, breast feeding support, environmental services, Kids Planet childcare and the Citizens Advice Bureau will be there to mark the occasion.
Activities taking place during the event will include story time sessions, music and movement classes and a children’s entertainer.
Helen Jones, MP for Warrington North, will attend to watch the balloon launch at 1.30pm.
