CROWDS flocked to Warrington to visit the town’s annual Farmers’ Market when more than 30 market traders set up their outdoor stalls offering a wide range of home grown local produce.
There was fun for all the family with plenty of entertainment with Donkey rides in Bridge Street, Stockley Farm petting zoo at Market Gate and a chance to ride the Rodeo Bull in Buttermarket Street.
Customers were entertained by a Del Boy Trotter look-alike and a birds of prey display was held in the event hall inside Warrington’s award-winning market.
The Thelwall Morris Men delighted the crowds with their performances throughout the day and the whole event was hosted by Radio Warrington.
Market Manager Stephen Pickering said: “The event has been a wonderful success and shows the level of concern customers have about where fresh produce comes from. By shopping at the market you can be confident you are buying the freshest, most local produce possible, supporting your local community and economy and helping the environment by reducing food-miles.”

Not a recipe for success, when excessively high rents force the traders out and then the stalls get removed!!!!!! The markets getting like Bridge Street.
