A WARRINGTON charity which helps vulnerable and homeless people in the region is looking for runners to support its fundraising.
Openingdoors has been chosen as one of the Elite Charities for the first ever New Balance English Half Marathon which takes place in Warrington on Sunday October 4.
The charity helps clients to improve their quality of life and supports them with their independent living.
Last year staff and volunteers at its emergency Night Shelter, in Warrington, provided a bed and support for over 600 service users. They also supported vulnerable people on more than 2,700 occasions by providing food and drink and blankets or a sleeping bag to keep them warm.
Openingdoors has a number of guaranteed race places for runners. Runners have to pay a £29 refundable deposit to secure a place and raise a minimum of £150 for the charity.
Each runner will receive a race pack, which will include an openingdoors race day t-shirt. All money raised will go to the charity’s work.
