Crash victim named

A musician from Warrington who has worked with big name pop stars has been named as the man killed following a road traffic accident at Knutsford last week.
Howard New, aged 42, from Penketh, was driving a black Fiesta car toward Knutsford along the A50 Warrington Road near High Legh around 7.30am last Thursday when his vehicle was involved in collision with a blue Audi A4 Avant heading towards Warrington.
The married father-of-one, who has worked with pop stars including Tina Turner, Cher and Belinda Carlisle died following the accident.
The Audi driver received minor injuries and did not require hospital treatment.
