BiG Storage renew sponsorship deal

DESPITE ever challenging times in the turbulent economy, when lots of sponsorship deals have fallen by the wayside, Warrington based BiG Storage is delighted to have extended it’s sponsorship of The Cheshire Jets.
The new deal reflects the fact that the Cheshire Jets brand is now BiG enough to stand on its own in the public and private sector arenas. The one difference with the new deal is that the club’s brand will now stand by itself as “Cheshire Jets” and BiG Storage will be positioned as a Partner Sponsor and not as Principal Sponsor.
When the BiG Storage sponsorship deal helped rescue the Jets in 2007 the club bore little or no resemblance to the highly efficient sporting business organisation of today. Over the last 2 years both BiG Storage and Cheshire Jets have worked tirelessly together to build solid foundations for the years ahead and the club is now one of the best professional sporting brands throughout Cheshire West and Cheshire East.
Andrew Donaldson, Partner of BiG Storage stated,”I’m really pleased we’ve been able to renew our deal with the Jets despite these challenging times. We’ve delivered on our promise and really helped the Jets as much as we can over the last 2 years and I personally have invested a huge amount of time and energy in helping the club to get into a position where the brand can stand on its own two feet – I’m extremely proud of everything Pete and I have achieved together.
“The deal is another step forward for the Jets as it progresses to being one of the top professional basketball teams in the UK, both on and off the court. We’ve had great fun over the last 2 seasons and I look forward to continuing to enjoy our partnership with the Cheshire Jets.
“I’m also looking forward to continuing managing the University of Chester basketball team next season since gaining promotion last season.”
Pete Hawkins, Director of Cheshire Jets stated: “With the support of Andrew and the team at BiG Storage we have been able to transform The Jets into a community focussed business which is the essential element in establishing a sustainable and successful pro team. We have established close working partnerships with key local organisations including University of Chester, Cheshire Police, West Cheshire PCT and look forward to extending this to the new local authority Cheshire West and Chester in the near future. Our Hoops for Health programme will reach over 130 schools next season and in total we will engage over 13,000 young people across the region. I would like to thank Andrew for helping to forge these relationships and look forward to his continued support as we grow our commercial relationships with pro active local and national businesses.
