Man beaten up by gang of four

A MAN was taken to hospital at Warrington with serious head injuries after being attacked by a gang of four thugs.
The attack was in Warrington Road, Penketh, opposite Harry’s fish and chip shop.
The 44-year-old was struck twice on the head by bricks, causing severe wounds to his forehead.
Four men have been arrested in connection with the incident but police are still seeking witnesses.
They say the victim was subjected to a sustained and unprovoked attack.
Police are particularly anxious to speak to two women who stopped in a red car and offered assistance to the victim after the incident in the early hours of Sunday morning..
