Rugby boys to visit South Africa

0

YOUNG Rugby players from a Warrington high school are planning a South African tour in July.
The trip will give Bridgewater High School’s under-16 rugby team a chance to play the game at a high level.
It will also allow the school to develop links with communities in South Africa and support local teams, by providing coaching and much needed sporting equipment.
They will help children in Soweto and in their link school, Forte High School in Johannesburg. The tour itinerary also includes a visit to Langa township in Cape Town. School staff and players will aim to support and encourage the development of rugby.
The Bridgewater pupils have started to fundraise for the trip and are hoping to attract sponsorship from local businesses and organisations. Support will be acknowledged by having the company name in the school’s official South Africa Tour programme and on the school website.
Anyone interested in sponsoring the trip should contact party leader Martin Turner at the school on 01925 263919.
