Charity offers activity for youth

FOOTBALL, street dance and rugby are among the activities offered to youngsters by a project working in Warrington.
Activities also include a healthy heart project, and work to tackle problems such as alcohol abuse, drugs and anti-social behaviour.
Fit Kidz is a community sports charity for young people, aged between five and 17, living in the areas of Bewsey, Whitecross and Dallam.
It is now promoting its services with Fit Kidz buses around Warrington and is looking for volunteers to help deliver services.
The charity provides sports and informal education activities. Netball and badminton will be starting soon.
Activities also include residential trips and workshops, and a range of coaching and training courses. The new healthy heart project will offer diet and nutrition advice, exercise sessions and intergenerational cooking classes.
Services are offered free because of the support of the community and work of volunteers. Training and personal development courses are offered to volunteers.
