POLICE have halted an investigation into an alleged attack on a woman at Warrington – after the woman withdrew her complaint.
Officers sealed off an area at the Ackers Pit beauty spot at Stockton Heath yesterday after the 35-year-old woman claimed she had been assaulted in the early hours of the morning.
The area was sealed off much of the day – with officers standing guard.
But today police said the woman had withdrawn the complaint and the case had been closed.
