Plan to demolish old barn

0

A CONTENTIOUS plan to demolish an old barn to make way for a two-storey detached garage and car port will come before planning bosses next Wednesday, January 28.
Members of Warrington’s development control committee will decide whether the scheme can go ahead at Pinfold Barn, Lymm Road, Thelwall.
Grappenhall and Thelwall Parish Council has lodged objections and say the site – a “gateway” to the village – will be ruined if the development goes ahead.
They point out it is in the Green Belt and in a conservation area.
The agricultural appearance of the site should be preserved, they say.
Planning officers are recommending the scheme be approved – and councillors will visit the site before reaching a decision
