WARRINGTON Town have swooped to sign a promising young goalkeeper to provide cover for regular shot stopper
Ritchie Mottram who is facing a three match ban after being red carded for handling outside the box in the 4-1 defeat at Durham.
Aron Grundy, aged 21, has joined from care taker manager Joey Dunn’s former club Burscough.
He had been at Bury since 1997, progressing through the youth academy and the reserve side, appearing twice for the first team.
He joined FC United of Manchester on a short-term loan in February 2008 after an injury to their regular first-team goalkeeper Sam Ashton ruled him out for a few weeks.
Aaron was awarded with fans player of the month and also received the league’s goalkeeper of the month after a very successful spell there.
In August 2008, Grundy signed for Conference North side Burscough after being released by Bury but has now decided to follow Dunn to Warrington.
