Car park to go pay and display

0

PAY and display parking is to be introduced on a Town Hall car park currently used as a staff car park Monday to Friday.
The change comes into force on January 29 and will mean pay and display charges will apply Monday-Sunday between 8am and 6.30pm.
At present, pay and display charges only apply on Saturdays on the car park, off Sankey Street at the rear of Bank House.
The charges will be the same as currently apply on Saturdays – £1 for up to one hour and £1.50 for up to two hours – except that in future two hours will be the maximum stay.
Aim of the changes is to provide additional short stay parking close to the Golden Square shopping centre.
