PLANNING chiefs at Warrington have approved an application to divide one large shop unit in the Golden Square shopping centre into three separate shops.

Hospital lottery
WINNING numbers in the weekly lottery run by the League of Friends of Warrington Hospital were 1, 9, 13 and 16 – but nobody had them! The jackpot prize will be “rolled over” to next week. A £25 consolation prize went to a member of hospital staff.

A NEW children’s play area is to be provided at Oakwood Local Park, in

Wildlife garden
MEMBERS of Victoria Park Residents Association are celebrating after being awarded a National Lottery grant of £4,405 towards the cost of creating a wildlife garden on land off Enville Street.

Bucket bonanza
REGULARS at the King and Queen pub in Padgate Lane, Warrington, raised £640 for the Warrington Multiple Sclerosis Society with a bucket collection and competition over the Christmas and New Year period.

Extension rejected
PLANNING bosses have refused to grant permission for a three storey extension to the side of a house in
Bent Lane, Culcheth.
