Choir concert raises £700 for organ fund

A TOTAL of £680.40 was raised for St Peter’s organ restoration fund by a concert by Lymm and District Chorus.
The choir, directed by Robin Mundy, gave an exhilarating performance of Handel’s Messiah, with fine individual contributions from soloists.
It inspired an enthusiastic audience to give generously to the fund. The organ, consecrated in 1872, has not been rebuilt since 1891; but work is now in hand to restore and update the pedal department, which was becoming unusable.
Anyone who would like to donate to the fund contact Fr Michael Burgess (Rector) on 752388. For details of Lymm & District Chorus contact Robin on 752569.
