Litter buster wins high praise

CULCHETH’S new “litter buster” is winning high praise for his work across the parish.
Community maintenance officer Paul Hill works five hours a day for Culcheth and Glazebury Parish Council clearing litter and has made a big impression in a short time.
Coun Keith Bland told the council: “He is really doing a great job. A lot of people have commented on how much better the village is looking.
“The original idea was for him to concentrate on the village centre but he has been going all over the parish.
“He has made a fantastic difference.”
Coun Bland advised fellow councillor to let Mr Hill know whenever they spotted a litter problem.
“He will soon get rid of it – but he obviously needs to be told about any new problems.”
