ICT students get expert advice

ICT students in Warrington were given advice from an expert when a professor from Salford University visited.
Prof David Parsons, professor of Computer Science and Engineering, gave a lecture to students at Priestley College.
Those attending are studying a range of BTEC and A-level courses in computing and ICT and he gave them an oversight of project management.
He looked at topics such as specification, design, build, installation, review and operation – which could all be adapted to the students own coursework.
Prof Parsons said: “The opportunity to talk to young people and pass on my knowledge and experience was great.
“Salford University is committed to all kinds of public engagement programmes and Priestley College is one of our major contacts with who we are looking to pursue a number of future high profile projects in the area of ICT.”
