Eileen is Top Cat!

WARRINGTON based Eileen Fisher has become the inaugural President of the county’s new Rugby League club the Cheshire Cats.
Eileen (pictured right) is a Skills Broker for North West Business Link with a track record of excellence in her field.
Her speciality involves advising enterprises with regard to recruitment,development,training and funding.
Included amongst the successful projects Eileen has been involved with are the Welfare to Work Scheme with Warrington Borough Council of which she was Co-ordinator and the town’s Special Needs Youth Training Scheme.
A lifelong supporter of the game Eileen is also secretary of the dynamic Warrington Wolves Vice President’s Association which has recently celebrated record numbers at its popular and established Christmas Luncheon.
On accepting the Presidency of the Cats Eileen is keen to point out: “The whole concept behind the Cheshire Cats is one that appeals to me.
“The new club is professionally organised and keen to impose high standards on and off the field.
“The idea of Summer rugby for children is ground breaking in the area as is the desire to play in the Midlands League.
“Rugby League is a wonderful sport for youngsters and I am sure that rugby followers to the South of Warrington will respond in great numbers.”
The creator of the club Lionel Hurst is thrilled with the appointment and siad: “Eileen is perfect for the role and has all the skills,talent and passion that the figurehead of such an ambitious new club will require.
“We are all very pleased indeed that Eileen has accepted our invitation to be our inaugural President.”
The Cheshire Cats have already forged links with Lymm Rugby Club and are looking for a permanent base in the town.
