A MASKED man wielding a baseball bat smashed his way into a vet’s surgery and stole cash and cheques.
Police are investigating the offence which took place at the Lymm Vet’s Surgery in Booths Hill Road.
The man – his face covered by a balaclava – smashed a ground floor window to gain entry to the premises.
He stole cash and cheques from a till before running off when he was disturbed by a woman who works at the surgery.
The only description police have is that he was wearing dark clothing with a balaclava and was carrying a baseball bat.
A police spokeswoman said anyone who witnessed the raid, at about 8pm on Wednesday, December 10, should contact Warrington Police on 0845 458 0000.
Alternatively they could leave a message on the confidential Crimewatch line, 0800 555 111.
