Playground given the green light

HOUSE builders Countryside Properties have finally won permission for a children’s play area on their Heatley Mere development at Lymm.
The borough council’s development control committee had earlier deferred a decision on the application for the playground on land off Millington Gardens following complaints about the colour, scale and type of playing equipment proposed.
More than 20 nearby residents had objected.
Following talks with the developer an agreement had been reached over the painting of boundary railings and the positioning of a climbing frame to minimise impact on nearby houses.
The meeting was told the play equipment had already purchased on basis of plans approved in 2004.
