MEMBERS of Culcheth and Glazebury Parish Council and Warrington Borough Council gathered to watch the start of the building of the new children’s playground on the village green.
The old swings and roundabouts were quickly removed, making way for a complete new surface and new facilities, which will also be suitable for disabled children.
The work is expected to be completed in time for half-term.
Coun Ileyne Hutchinson, chairman of the Parish Council, said,”We are all looking forward to the opening of the new
playground – it is wonderful that we could get together with WREN and the Borough Council to provide modern facilities
such as these for the children of the village.”
