TWO men from Stretton’s St Matthew’s Church cycled 50 miles around Cheshire to raise more than £350 for charity – on a bicycle made for two!.
Chris Goulston and Chris Moore cycled around the churches of the Deanery. It was part of a Ride and Stride Event organised by the Historic Cheshire Churches Preservation Trust.
Half of the money raised goes to the trust and the rest goes to St Matthew’s to help towards the installation of a new kitchen in the church hall.
More than 60 people attended the Stretton church during the day and cheered on the cyclists. Sponsorship donations are still being accepted.
