THERE was a full emergency turn-out today when a tanker overturned on a roundabout near Warrington and spilled part of its load of effluent.
The incident was at a roundabout on the Runcorn Expressway, close to the A56 at Daresbury.
Police, Fire Service, Ambulance and council emergency crews rushed to the scene.
But the driver escaped injury and the tanker rolled onto its side, clear of the carriageway.
A Fire Service spokesman said the effluent turned out to be a harmless one, used for spraying on agricultural land.
Council teams cleared the liquid from the road surface.
There was little delay to traffic.
