George launches new bank card

WARRINGTON’s Britain’s Got Talent winner George Sampson is the face behind a new online marketing campaign for one of the country’s leading high street banks.
The 15 year from Birchwood, who last month signed an exclusive deal with NatWest, features in a new online advertising campaign to promote customised bank cards featuring his own image.
Shot at Elstree Studios last month, the ad sees George dance his way round a series of debit cards personalized with his own image while he showcases some of the moves that won him millions of admirers in the ITV1 show earlier this year.
The ad features six card designs the breakdancer has designed exclusively for NatWest.
The bank cards can be used to withdraw money at cash machines and come with chip and PIN for point of sale purchase.
However, cardholders will not be able to spend money that is not in their account.
The NatWest Adapt account allows NatWest teen customers to customize their Solo debit card by selecting any image from a library of hundreds or by uploading their own image.
George said, “I had such a great time filming the advert and totally love the cards, it’s a brilliant idea! I still can’t believe there are George Sampson bank cards…wow that’s so cool!”
George joked, “I bet there isn’t a Simon Cowell or Amanda or Piers bank card yet!”
Commenting on the signing, Richard Taylor, NatWest Brand Director, said: “We believe the cards will prove extremely popular with Adapt account holders as George clearly has a lot of fans within this age group.”
