Busy road to be closed

A BUSY Warrington road and adjacent footway will be closed from Saturday August 30 for approximately two weekends.
The temporary prohibition of driving and footway closure will affect the A49 Newton Road from its junction with Delph Lane to its junction with the M62 Motorway (Junction 9).
Restrictions are expected to be in operation on August 30 and 31 and September 6 and 7, during certain times.
The alternative route will be via Newton Road, Cromwell Avenue, Calver Road, Mill Lane, Watery Lane, Hollins Lane, Newton Road and vice versa.
The closure is to allow for the removal of the existing footbridge on the A49 Newton Road.
