Hospital lottery

WINNING numbers in the weekly lottery run by the League of Friends of Warrington Hospital Lottery were 4, 6, 9 and 15. There were no jackpot winners, but a £25 consolation prize was awarded to a hospital visitor.

More drinking

A BRIDGE Street bar is to convert its first floor from storage to an extra drinking area. Panama Jacks has been given the go-ahead by Warrington planners to make the change.

Sales building

An application to build a replacement sales building at a service station in Lovely Lane, Warrington, has been approved. The plan also includes changing the use of an adjoining dwelling into staff accommodation and storage.

Wildlife care
FREE workshops on caring for wildlife are to be held at the Pets at Home store on the Riverside Retail Park, Warrington next Tuesday (August 12) and Thursday (August 14) at 2pm.

Shop extends

A SIDE and rear extension at Lane Ends Newsagents, Penketh Road, Great Sankey, has been approved by Warrington planners to provide an extra retail area and a first floor flat.
