FIRE crews fought a two hour battle to extinguish a blaze in a two-storey building at Warrington during the night.
The blaze was in a disused industrial building on Howley Lane and is believed to have been started by vandals.
Two fire engines were involved in the operation and firefighters wore breathing apparatus to tackle the first floor blaze with hosereel jets.
A ventilation unit was used to clear smoke from the building.
A fire service spokesman said the property had been entered and waste materials were piled up and set alight.
