Keeping the holiday kids happy!

AN ambitious programme of activities for children to keep them occupied during the summer holidays has been organised by Warrington Borough Council.
Last year’s programme was widely praised – and this year’s promises to be even better, according to the council.
A huge range of activities is on offer with something for all ages and tastes, outdoor activities, arts and crafts, sport and lots of fun workshops to keep everyone occupied.
Highlights include:
* Creating your own dinosaur or maybe some Egyptian jewellery, a tennis camp or breaking into street dance.
* Trampolining or canoeing and the Olympic Sports festival at the Peace Centre.
A council spokesperson said: “Why not encourage your child to take up a challenge and try something they have never done before to make this summer holiday one to remember? But don’t forget to book early so you don’t miss out!”
All the courses are run by qualified staff and Select Leisure’s play schemes are OfSTED registered. This means youngsters are taking part in safe, fun activities.
Details are available from schools, libraries, leisure centres and GP surgeries.
Further information and details of other activities taking place throughout the summer are available from the Families Information Service on 01925 443131 or by logging on to www.warringtonchildren.org
