TICKETS for events at the first ever Stockton Heath Festival will be like “gold dust” according to organisers.
Coun Tudor Pole, who instigated the festival, told Stockton Heath Parish Council that a box office was open on Fridays and Saturdays in The Forge shopping centre and Victoria Square.
“If you want tickets I suggest you get in quick as they are like gold dust,” he said.
The festival runs for July 10 to 13 and features a variety of events including an art show, music dance and exhibitions. Volunteers are joining in to help organise events.
Coun Pole said 10,000 flyers to promote the festival were being delivered.
He said: “The festival is now on its starting blocks and we are just putting the finishing touches to it.”
A vote of thanks to the festival committee was proposed by parish council chair Coun Maurice Leslie.
