Car plunges from road

EMERGENCY services were called to Chester Road, Walton, Warrington early today (Saturday) when a car plunged off the road and ended up on its side in a field.
The occupants were at first thought to be trapped and fire crews were brought into the operation.
But in fact, police and ambulance crews managed to extricate the people from the damaged car.
They were then taken to hospital – although their condition is not known.

  • Earlier, fire crews were called to a house in Poole Crescent, Longford, when three teenagers found themselves locked in a downstairs toilet. Firefighters forced the door to let them out.
