Churches offer a message of hope

CHURCHES in Warrington will be throwing open their doors to offer the community fresh hope through a series of events.
On Wednesday, May 7 and Thursday, May 8 St Matthew’s Church in Stretton will hold a 24 hour prayer session.
There will be specific focuses for prayers on the hour and there will be opening worship on Wednesday, Holy Communion with Laying on of hands for healing at midnight and Holy Communion celebrated as usual on the Thursday morning.
At the Wycliffe Church on Bewsey Street on Sunday, May 11, there will be a celebration of Global Day of Prayer from 3pm to 5pm.
A prayer day of hope for Warrington will be offered at St Elphin’s Church on Tuesday, June 17, where numerous prayer stations will be set out for people to focus upon hope for the community.
