THE popular “Stockton Heath Beer and Wine Festival” organized by the 4th Warrington Scout Group based in the village, takes place on Saturday April 26.
Now in its fifth successful year, this local village event, held in the scout centre attracted so many people last year that the evening was completely sold out.
The theme for this year is to have a larger selection of the finest beers specially selected by Campaign for Real Ale enthusiasts including the festival favorite ” wobbly Bob” from the phoenix brewery. The event will also feature a selection of notable wines picked by festival sponsors “Odd bins”, for their excellence and taste. Also this year there will be a quality draught cider.
Those who remember last year’s festival will not have forgotten the amazing Mandrills , who rocked the evening with countless classics. They enjoyed the evening and friendly company so much, that they have promised another appearance.
The scout centre on Parkgate Road is the home for the village Beer and Wine Festival. Step inside in the midweek and you will see one of the largest scout groups in Warrington in action – offering local young people a challenging programme of adventurous activities. Profits from the event will go to support the scout group.
Those who didn’t manage to buy a ticket last year – don’t be disappointed again for this years one night special festival-priced at £5 which includes the first drink.
Tickets are now on sale from: Odd bins , Smarts Carpets and Furnishings in Stockton Heath , Microbitz computers , Gainsborough Road and Peter Ratcliffe tel: 01925 264122
