Warrington Town Youth 1 Marine Youth 0
WARRINGTON Town Youth Team entertained Marine Youth at Cantilever Park in the LCFA Youth Cup.
A tense affair saw some passionate and high quality football being played throughout the 90 minutes.
Both defences were in no mood to allow chances to fall easily and Town keeper Cameron Brown pulled off some outstanding saves.
At the other end the home side had a number of efforts saved and failed to hit the target on several occasions after good build up play.
In a fast paced affair, the game was deadlocked at half time and the beginning of the second half saw both sides becoming embroiled in a midfield battle.
Captain Gareth Grant was outstanding and limited Marine to long-range effort, which were all saved well by Brown.
As the game threatened to enter extra time, substitute Josh Guest raced onto a neat through ball to slot home and spark jubilant scenes as Town booked their place in the final.
